About Deosai
Welcome to the Deosai National Park — a vast alpine plateau known as the “Roof of the World”, sitting at an average elevation of over 4,100 meters (13,500 feet). Spanning across Skardu and Astore districts, Deosai is the second-highest plateau in the world, only after Tibet.
The name Deosai means “Land of Giants”, and rightly so — its scale, silence, and surreal landscapes are nothing short of mythical. From wildflower meadows and crystal-clear lakes to rare wildlife like the Himalayan brown bear, Deosai offers a truly unforgettable experience.
